First Macroeconomic Prospective Congress of Latin America 2019

On March 13 and 14, 2019 at the Marriott Hotel in Bogota city, Econometría Consultores with the Latin American Alliance of Economic Consultancies (LAECO), will hold the First Congress of Macroeconomic Prospective of Latin America. The main objective of the event is to present several analyzes and economic projections of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Additionally, you will be able to know the opinion of the consulting firms’ members of the LAECO, as well as the opinion of other recognized national and international experts.

Final assessment FORECCSA project - Ecuador


Econometría Consultores performed the final assessment of the FORECCSA project in Ecuador for the World Food Programme (WFP) and the Adaptation Fund (AF). The evaluation measured the change the resilience, vulnerability and food insecurity attributable to climate change of treated communities. The evaluation team identified the most efficcent typyes of intervantions and delivered recommendations for future projects.

The contribution of the economy in the era of #MeToo

Evidence from a study carried out by Econometría Consultoresm for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB),shows that the immediate attention by the emergency lines to victims of violence against women reduces future victimization.

Targeted Social Assistance (TSA) Georgia – UNICEF


Econometría is carrying out the impact evaluation of the Targeted Social Assistance program for the UNICEF office in Georgia, with the aim of improving the living conditions of children and adults, through a monetary grant that is assigned to the population with the lowest income in the country. The consultant team traveled to Tbilisi-Georgia between October 10 and 18, 2018, to carry out the project start mission. The agenda included many meetings with UNICEF, the entity that requested the evaluation, and interviews with key actors for the implementation of the TSA program.

Presentation of results of the Policy “De Cero a Siempre” evaluation


Carlos del Castillo, director of the evaluation of the “De Cero a Siempre” (early childhood) Policy made by Econometría for the NPD, presented the results at the First International Congress of Early Childhood Development.

National Development Plan, "Pacto por Colombia, pacto por la equidad"


During October, the Econometría Consultores team, together with the National Planning Department (NPD), the German cooperation (GIZ) and a group of strategic partners in the Colombian regions, coordinated the development of a set of workshops that will be part of the inputs that will feed the regional chapters of the new National Development Plan: "Pacto por Colombia”. For this, the territorial stakes of the different regions in the country were built. These workshops gathered more than 1,000 actors from the government, business and civil society from all corners of the country.

Emissions Reduction Program in the Dominican Republic

El pasado 10 de abril de 2018, en el marco de la “Evaluación de los costos, beneficios y preparación de un plan de financiación para el Programa REDD+”, Econometría realizó en República Dominicana un taller con el sector privado y la sociedad civil sobre el desarrollo forestal y agroforestal.

School Bullying Prevention Program of Panama

On April 12, 2018, Econometría made the final presentation of the report for the Panamanian authorities of the cross-sectional study of the "School Bullying Prevention Program of Panama", a project that aims to contribute to the prevention of student violence and increase student levels, social inclusion of young people through the promotion and strengthening of attitudes and values for personal growth and peaceful coexistence in the student sector and in the community.

USDA MCGOVERN final evaluation - DOLE / School feeding

In April 2018, Econometría is in Bangladesh developing the project "Final evaluation of USDA MCGOVERN-DOLE that supports school feeding activities", project of the World Food Program. This study implements a mixed methodology. Visits will be made to 18 schools where the Program was implemented and interviews with government officials from Bangladesh (central and local), United Nations partners, local NGOs, parents, teachers and school committees. In addition, there will be 16 focus groups with beneficiary children.
